Meet The Stooges
Hello, I'm George, at 47 I am the oldest stooge, but I don't let that slow me down. I have done various fundraising events in the past and this is my second with Brian and Louis. I enjoy walking, camping, reading, listening to various types of music and spending time with my family and friends. I managed the full 100km last year (2024) and it was not easy. so what do we do this year (2025) push ourselves further and harder for three amazing causes. Thanks for taking the time to read our page and if you have any questions or queries please feel free to e-mail us on our site.
Hi everyone, my name is Brian and I am 33 years old, I like music, camping and just being outdoors in general. I have previously done various fundraisers for charities and for my kids schools. This will be my second fundraiser with the stooges and I will be pushing myself further than ever before as I had to tap out due to injury 3/4 of the way through the 100k, and I plan to push through so we can complete any task we set ourselves too! Thank you for taking time to look into our page and hopefully we have your continued support for our future endeavours!
Hey, my name is Louis, I am the youngest stooge at just 15. I am your typical teenager, I like drama, taekwondo, and listening to music of many different varieties. This will be the second fundraiser I have done. I took part in the 100km walk for the Beatson last year, but due to an injury, only managed 50km but considering that I was 13 at the time I am proud of what was achieved. This time I am going to try to push my body and mind further and cross the finish line.
The charities we are supporting in 2025
are..
For this fund raising event, We are looking at taking on the mission of trying to achieve 120km approximately, in a single walk, however long it takes
We have chosen three charities which all mean something to each of us personally. The charities are:
The Beatson Cancer Charity
Scottish Association Mental Health (samH)
The National Autistic Society.
Any donations would be much appreciated.

120km walk 20th &21st september
At 08:30 on the 20/9/25 the stooges set out on the mission of trying to reach the target of 120km walk in one walk. we took on this challenge to raise money for three amazing charities. Brian aka Larry had to tap out at 30 km unfortunately due to injury but has since managed to recover. Louis aka Moe walked with me till Gourock covering an amazing 55km which for a 15 year old is a amazing accomplishment. myself however George aka curly against all better judgement and wishes from loved ones pushed on and took my body to its limits covering 108.5km. however i had to stop at that as i could not push my body any further
Updates
3/8/25 - The team met up and challenged ourselves to Ben Lomond, took us a bit longer cause this time we could actually take a break and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Great team building exercise and maybe not the right training for the 120km but all steps count and as a bonus, we all made it to the top and back with no injuries. Unfortunately my watch didn't track us on the way up, but it took us about five and a half hours and it was also Moe's first Munro.
29/7/25 - Curly and Moe done a practice night walk nice we 20km walk over the Dalry Moor Road just under 4 hours, 28625 steps. We walked this road as it is similar to the road we will be walking at night on the 20th September
24/7/25 - Curly done a walk while working from Largs marina too Fairlie and back 6.74 km done in 1hr 26 mins, 9760 steps.
11/07/25 - Curly got bored while working and decided to climb Ben Lomond as it was a nice day
9/7/25 Curly and Moe out for a walk, every step counts
1/7/25 & 2/7/25 - Curly and Moe in Edinburgh for a short break and show but still getting the steps in
23/06/25 Curly managed to get two practise walks in today. so handy working with someone who likes walking.
21/06/25 curly out for a quick 10km as it was a nice night. thanks for all the support guys
18/06/25

15/6/25 Curly and Moe went out between the showers, for a wee practise walk. Enjoyed the open air and the beautiful country side, posted some videos on our Facebook page. made not bad time and distance on the walk.
2024's fundraiser.

100k in one walk for the Beatson. On the 30th March 2024, we took on the challenge of walking 100km in one walk for the Beatson cancer charity. We left at 8:30am from Glengarnock, walked through Kilwinning, Irvine, the Three Towns, Seamill, West Kilbride, Fairlie and ending at Aubrey park in Largs. Then returned via the same route with a little change but still reached the target of 100km+. Due to peoples generosity we raised over £1500.
